During 1909 to 1911, Shree Baba Maharaj (Guru of Shree Maharaj) worked with the Public Works Department (PWD) when he was transferred to Ratnagiri District. In Ratnagiri, he was asked to reside with a lawyer Shree Hari Sakharam Joshi (Brother of Shree Maharajs Grandfather) by his Guru Shree Beedkar Maharaj.

The Joshi family, with a very religious environment, provided great service to Shree Baba Maharaj. Taking advantage of this religious environment in the family, Shree Beedkar Maharaj took birth in the same Joshi family as ‘Vitthal’, son of Shree Ganesh Vishnu Joshi and Smt. Janakibai Ganesh Joshi on Oct 17th, 1912.

This very child Vitthal was initiated by Shree Baba Maharaj and later became known as our very own Shree Digambardas Maharaj alias Shree Maharaj.
