Chi. Ku. Shakuntala Shewade, best of the Blessings of Swami Krupa,

Received your letter dated 27/6/71 and understood the contents. You got admission to B.Ed. (course) and (your lectures have commenced daily) bet. 11.30 am to 5.00 pm. It is a very good thing. Concentrate on your studies and get successful in the exam. Continue your Upasana of Nama-smaran, reading (of holy books) etc. as and when possible. Upasana should be done punctually, its duration may be less or more. There should not be letup on the medical treatment of your ailment.

You took lessons on (Shreemad Bhagavad) Geeta from ShreeRamshastree Shirgaonkar. It’s a good thing.

Verse:

Awake early morning at Bramha (Muhurta i.e. around 3.30 -4.00 am) and see your palms (Swa-kara Darshan). (after this) pay respects to the soil, (and there after) pay respects (vandan) to Saints (spiritual personalities). (1)

Always remember the holy devotees, Bramharshi (sages who have realized Brahman) and other holy sages, the holy Kings with true devotion. (2)

(Also) Twelve Jyotirlingas (main temples of Lord Shiva), AshtaVinayak, Sapta Puri and Saptakanya and Avatars of Ramakrishna and alike with Deepest faith. (3)

Seven Oceans, Pious Rivers etc. they are all benevolent. The devotion at the lord’s (feet) should be pure. (4)

(Thereafter) one should purify the body by face wash, cleaning of teeth, bowels, washing hands and feet. (5)

Thereafter enter the room in which idols of God (have been placed for performing daily pooja and other rituals) for offering prayers to family God and Godess (Kuldaivat). Also surrender with all the senses to your Ishta Devata (God or Godess whom one always prays) (6)

Recite Bhoopali and Kakad Aarti (early morning Bhajans) and the different verses (Stavans) for praising the God. (7)

Thereafter take bath with fresh water and after cleaning the body always wear fresh (clean washed) clothes. Then with one’s own hand apply tilak on the forehead everyday. (8)

Thereafter perform Pooja of Gods or do Manas-Pooja (Sit at a place in calm posture and perform Pooja mentally, keeping the eyes closed). Dedicate prayers all the time to Lord Almighty. (9)

Thereafter recite Nama (Nama-Smaran) and meditate on Shree Rama with a pure conscious. Surrender to God Hanumanta and praise (him) with Stotra (Stavan). (10)

For some time meditate on the Ishta Devata (to whom one always offers prayers) with pure devotion and thereafter start the routine (Occupational work) and do it with great care and conscientiously. (11)

After the routine again one should offer prayers to God. After Lunch, have a brief rest. (12)

Thereafter again concentrate on your occupation, keeping Lord at the subconscious. Mainly, take care of the interest of Atman (inner voice) all the time. (13)

In the evening after washing hands and feet and in a clean environment Light a lamp and offer respect (vandan) to the lamp mainly for one’s own progress. (14)

Thereafter for a brief period recite Nama (nama-smaran) sitting in isolation and meditate on God with concentration. (15)

Aasana shuddhi (being comfortable in sitting posture) and Ahar-Shuddhi (Saatvik food – diet helpful for spiritual development) have to be attained which helps in achievement of steady state of conscious progressively. (16)

Read Holy literature; concentrate on the meaning of the text. The action should be for (continuously) uplifting our mind. (17)

Keeping intact the source of inward pleasure, continuously strive hard in the interest of holy Atman (and) the day’s routine should be such that one is not distanced from the God. (18)

One should remain cautious in his occupation. One should discharge his duty as if he is serving the lord (and) one has to remain conscious always in his own interests. (19)

Always remember about the certainty of death, recite name of God (nama-smaran) and sing praise about virtues of the Lord always. (20)

For the ears always hear the stories of God. Draw pleasure from achieving oneness with him always. Different remedies have to be found out to forget the (involvement in this) body. (21)

Ego has to be burnt in its entirety. Fantasies have to be eradicated. To have assimilation of Jeeva with Shiva, (one should) peep within, every moment. (22)

One which avoids the cycle of Life and Death (and avoids) journey through millions of species, is the liberation, whereby the Soul is liberated by assimilation with God. (23)

One has to put in several efforts, has to worship (do Upasana) in several ways mainly to pass out of this ocean of living beings and to realize the God. (24)

One who will achieve this daily routine he will be victorious over the evil and time in this world (and) will be engrossed in Satchidananda (the bliss of god within) if (the sadhaka) remains cautious in his Sadhana (rituals for self realization). (25)

Ocean of Dyana has no bounds and is eternal. One can’t get to its origin and end. But to enable one to go beyond this world of living beings (I) spoke a little bit. (26)

Das (Shree Maharaj) says, I have uttered as inspired by Shree Sadgururaj. Take what I have said above for in the interest of self, all the times. (27)

Namaskar to all elderly and blessings to all young ones at your place. Blessings to Shri Kalekaka, his wife and Chi Prakash. Blessings to Shri Aapte and all at his place. Namaskar to Shri Pusalkar, Shri Tambe and Shri Joglekar and Sou. Tai Joglekar and their son.
