Extract from the letter written by Shree Maharaj to Shri Kamlakarpant L. Walawalkar,Esqr., published in Third edition of ‘Tuchi Baap Dhani’

Shri Kamlakarpant Esqr. Best of the Blessings of Shree Swami Krupa.

It appears (to me) and I understand that health of Chi. Vikas is still not alright. Even if you are engrossed in your work it is very much important that you take care of the health of your son and your wife, it is your prime duty and responsibility. Like we offer (daily) prayers to the Supreme God (Upasana) one has also to bear in mind that the family members are but manifestation of the same God and offering our services to the extent possible to them ( family) is also like worshipping the almighty. In the words of Shree Dyaneshwar Maharaj:

Verse: “Worshipping the eternal God, present in the heart of all beings by offering the floral bouquet of your own deeds gives overwhelming delight to the almighty.”

Hence, without any laxity, get the (thorough) medical check-up done from Doctors and Vaidyas (medical practioners in Ayurveda system of medicine) and offer them best of the treatment that may be necessary, for (overall) improvement of their health and keep me informed about it. The above treatment is for the physical body. Now as per the karmic jeeva prarabdha (fate) Doctors and Vaidyas are not of much use for getting cured out of the sufferings / ailments arising out of Adhi-Daivik / Adhi-Bhoutik (Spiritual / worldly) problems. Only offering prayers to the almighty (Upasana) is absolutely necessary for that. Therefore, please get Rudra Ekadashani (Recitation of Rudrasukta) done from a reliable Brahmin on Swami Padukas at Shree Swami Samartha Matha, Akkalkot Lane, every Thursday and give Teertha (Holy water) and Angara (Holy Ash) to your son and wife. Also if possible get Chaturdash Pranavi Japa of Mahamrutunjay (mantra) 11,000- times from a good Brahmin. As far as possible the Japa should be done by the Brahmin at your residence. From tomorrow for Shri Vikas and for your wife , I will get done here, 33 Rudra Ekadashani, one, every day on Shree’s Paduka and also Mahamrutunjaya Japa (Chaturdasha Pranavi) 11,000- times (and) besides this I will also get Recitation of Saptashati done 42 times in thirty three days. Every day Angara and Prasadam will be sent to you up to 33 days.

Verse: Shree Swami Maharaj is taking care of your Yogakshema, he is alert and taking care of you day and night. You concentrate solely on Nama and put all the load of worries on Shree Swami. He will remove all the obstacles. Das says that one should surrender (totally) to Swami and get the Best of (this) life. I only convey that your Faith, Devotion and Loyalty are incomparable. Best of the Blessings to your wife & son. Please do not get angry (disturbed), if you feel that the language of this letter is bit tough.
