Received your letter dtd.31/3/70 and understood the contents. Outside Photographs get stale / destroyed. The Photo that is permanently held in the heart does not get stale or destroyed. One has to worship outside photographs to get the photo (impression) permanently positioned in the Heart. Hence worship (the Photo) with total dedication.

Once pure dedication is achieved then that person cannot remain separate. To serve all the members of the family to the best of one’s capacity is also a service to the God. If we do all the things as a servant (of God) and assume that world is fully occupied by him then all the actions done through Body , Utterances, Mind is essentially a service to the God. Only one should not nurse the ego that I am doing every thing. (Consciously) One should strive to reduce the desires. One should not increase them. (If this is done) It will reduce one’s (future) births. It reduces the cycles of Life and Death.

Verse:

“The God likes pure devotion, he gets delighted with that. (1) “

“Always meditate on him without any expectation, with that the mind will stabilize. (2)”

“With devotion the God and with prayers the devotion gets (3)”

“With continuous meditation the impurities in mind are washed out (and) with that the conscious achieves peace. (4)”

“God only loves devotion and takes care of devotees who (constantly) meditate on him. (5)”
