Aims And Objectives

Shree Sant Seetarambua Walawalkar Charitable Trust (SSWCT) & Shree Vitthalrao Joshi Charities Trust (SVJCT) are the two sides of the same coin. For all practical purposes they are termed as one organisation as the Trustees and volunteers are common.

The organisation has been working for the last 28 years for social & spiritual upliftment of the poor.

The areas of activity are the Ratnigiri district, Pune city and Mumbai city of the Maharashtra State, on western coast of India.

The Aim is to provide human beings basic needs, such as food, water, clothing, shelter, education, and medical aid for his physical survival discourse for his self-realisation. The maximum concentration is however on Dervan and surrounding villages. Dervan is a village about 19 kilometers from Chiplun and 290 kilometers from Mumbai on Mumbai-Goa highway. The population of Dervan and nearby villages is 0.6 million. It has an average rainfall of 85 inches and moderate temperature of 33oC.

SSWCT & SVJCT have been doing the work of providing these basic needs to people in the above mentioned areas. All these activities are carried out irrespective of caste, creed or religion of the person whom help is rendered.
